Hi, I’m Jean Carlo
My name is Jean Carlo and I’m an amateur photographer and film maker from Canada. I developed a love/hate relationship with photography 18 years ago but it wasn’t until 6 years ago that I really set out to learn how to and try to create beautiful images. I’m constantly reading and learning to become a better photographer and film maker, it’s not an overnight task and although I’ve gotten better than 6 years ago, I still have lots to learn.
I’ve always loved traveling, ever since I was a 5 year old boy and my parents took my sister and I on a road trip from Canada all the way to Mexico. Now that I’m older I learned to appreciate traveling more and experiencing different cultures and most of all, eating different food. I could never understand why I loved traveling so much, I just knew it was something I really wanted to do. I set out to discover the answer to that question and I learned that I love to travel so that I can come back home. That might sound like a terrible reason but let me explain. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving, you see where you came from with new eyes and a new way of seeing things in your everyday life. I believe that seeing the world changes you in ways that are so profound that you find it hard to go back to how things used to be before you set out on your adventure.
I hope my blog and photos inspire you to pick up your camera and create beautiful images, right where you are or when traveling to far off places. I’m continually adding new photos or videos to this site and I hope you enjoy seeing the world how I see it. Thanks for having a look.
